Hillary '08?

This week's cover of Newsweek features an article about Hillary Clinton becoming our next president in 2008. She has a lot of support and it looks like a strong possibility. I've heard this discussed often, and my first reaction was that it's a good thing. My reason is simple - having the first female president would piss off all kinds of discriminating assholes.

Making good decisions for our country does not require a penis.A strong-minded, intelligent woman could easily run it.

My problem is that Hillary openly opposes gay marriage. And Bill got the discrimination ball rolling while he was in office. People often forget he started the "Marriage Protection Act," which defined marriage as "between a man and a woman."

So Hillary's husband started the damage, and George W. took it even further. So what new damage would Hillary do? On the other side of the coin, I know a Republican isn't going to support gay marriage anytime soon. So Democrat is the only way to go in '08.

The silver lining is that Hillary does support civil unions. Yeah, I know, it's still bullshit, but at least it's a step forward instead of backwards.
